Editorial policy
Eastern Running Review aims to make useful, careful writing about running. We explain our reasoning, separate opinion from fact and correct the record when a published detail is wrong.
Accuracy and care
We check names, dates and other factual details before publication and make claims no broader than the information supports. Where a point is uncertain or depends on context, we say so rather than present a guess as settled fact. Our coverage is for general information; it does not provide medical advice or personal training prescriptions.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to satisfy a commercial partner. A partnership does not guarantee coverage, favourable wording or a particular conclusion. We do not present promotional claims as independent editorial judgment.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us with the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the relevant passage and make the correction clear. We do not silently change a material factual error.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner-supported material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary photographs.
A run is shaped before the first step
The route, the pace and the reason for heading out all matter. We focus on choices a reader can try, observe and adjust for themselves.
